Who is Cideph?
Cideph is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering children, mothers, and families in Uganda through HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. We are committed to reducing stigma, increasing access to accurate information, and helping communities make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
At Cideph, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for change. By providing culturally relevant resources, community outreach, and compassionate support, we work to create a future where individuals are informed, protected, and empowered to live healthy lives
Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in education, compassion, and strong community partnership. We believe that meaningful change begins by meeting people where they are—both culturally and personally—while providing clear, accessible, and accurate information about HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and care. Every interaction is grounded in respect, dignity, and a commitment to creating safe, stigma-free spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported.
We understand that each community faces unique challenges, which is why we do not rely on a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, we work closely with local leaders, families, and community members to design programs that reflect their lived experiences and real needs. Through outreach, education sessions, and ongoing support, we empower individuals with knowledge while also addressing the social and emotional barriers that often prevent access to care.
Our Vision
Cideph was founded with a vision to address the ongoing impact of HIV/AIDS in underserved communities through education and advocacy. What began as a passion to raise awareness has grown into a mission to empower families with knowledge, support, and hope.
